Sunday Song: All about “In My Life”

In My Life is a classic song from the Beatles 1965 album Rubber Soul written by John Lennon and Paul McCartney.

“I liked ‘In My Life,’ McCartney said in 1976. “Those were words that John wrote, and I wrote the tune to it. That was a great one.”

Rolling Stone ranked it number 23 on its list of “The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time”, as well as fifth on their list of the Beatles’ “100 Greatest Songs.”

I happen to enjoy other versions more than the Beatles and feature three of them here. Enjoy Bette Midler who memorably performed the song in the 1991 film For The Boys, James Taylor, and Judy Collins.
