Steve Grand updates fans on status of his debut album – is now hoping for a late summer release

Our favorite All-American Boy Steve Grand has been busy working on his new album which he had originally hoped to have out right about now.

Turns out he needs a little more time. He explains why in this Facebook message and YouTube video.

Hey Grandfam! I made this video to update you all on whats been going on with me, and respond to a lot of the questions that I see you guys have for me. I have been very busy! If you would rather not watch me blab on for 3 and half minutes, (I won’t hold it against you ;)), keep reading. I’ll outline the major points of the video below.

I’ve been devoting every waking moment to working on the album, fulfilling Kickstarter Rewards (there are almost 5,000! still blown away…), and putting together the very best band of musicians that are going to bring my songs to life in the very best live performance we can create for you guys. ALBUM PROGRESS: Regarding the release date of the album, its going to be a little later than I initially anticipated (looking at late summer? but at this point it is still hard to say. I will keep you all updated as often as I can). From day one, I have promised to only give you my best, most honest work, and I intend to uphold that promise even if it means delaying the release of the record to make sure I get it just right. Thanks to all of you who so generously supported the “All-American Boy” Kickstarter campaign, I am able to meet and work with some of the best professionals in the business that are helping to bring my creative vision to life in ways I’ve only dreamt about! So I’m taking full advantage of these incredible opportunities that all of YOU have provided me. I can never say “THANK YOU” enough!

KICKSTARTER REWARD FULFILLMENT: I see a lot of you also have questions regarding the Kickstarter Rewards. I’m still not over the fact that almost 5,000 of you believed in this project enough to donate so generously! I am forever grateful. I am hard at work at those: writing the almost 5,000 hand written “Thank You” notes, the almost 200 smelly marker drawings, and many other other rewards that require my personal touch. It’s very important to me to give you guys the authenticity you deserve from me. Again, I never anticipated so many people to contribute, so the reward delivery dates are going to be pushed back a little as well. Again, as I get a better idea of when I will be done fulfilling the rewards, I will keep you updated with the progress and when you can expect your reward for contributing.

So…between all the work I am doing on the album, working on the Kickstarter Rewards, and preparing the band and the live show for my tour in June, I have my hands full! But I couldn’t be happier living my dream, all thanks to your tremendous support.
