Steve Grand: ‘I say a lot of things. Some of those things don’t always come out quite right. I can do better’
Steve Grand has suffered some backlash for an interview he did with PrideSource in which he said: ‘I’m such an easy person to target. Young, good-looking, white, gay men – we love to hate those people. But there’s been a real person there the whole time.’
Tonight the singer tweeted: ‘I say a lot of things. Some of those things don’t always come out quite right. I can do better, and I’m going to continue to try and do so.’
Below is some of the bad press Steve has gotten since the now infamous interview:
** Don’t hate Steve Grand because he’s white; hate him because he’s clueless
** Steve Grand Is Right—We Do Love to Hate Young, Good-Looking, White Gay Men

Who are these people that hate him because he’s young beautiful and white? All I’ve been seeing online is love and support of Steve, mainly gays telling him how gorgeous he is. I’m a black gay man that was cheering for a young good looking country musician to make it big in country music but his comments just really turned me off. He’s victimizing himself to such a degree as if he’s being so unfairly mistreated by other homosexuals and bashed simply for being a beautiful white gay man and the world is so difficult for him because as history has shown beautiful white males have always had it the hardest in life lol. The ego Steve has might be even grander then Caitlyn Jenner’s and that’s saying a lot. I really hope he starts to humble himself and show the country that gay men are more then just body image and ego, that we actually have real talent.
Troye Sivan you got a fan in me 4 LIFE.
JP says:
I’m down to my last nerve with Steve Grand. Some of the things he’s said over time, all the undressed photos, then the tacky video of him in the gym with his costar from their music video were almost too much. The end came when he said people hate him because he’s a young, good-looking, white gay man. Yikes, he’s now sounding like the gay equivalent of Justin Bieber, although I feel Bieber has a better voice (and I am so not a Belieber!). Steve, you need to check the clock, your fifteen minutes of (minor) fame are about over.
