Spotting Colin Farrell, Sam Rockwell & Jonathan Silverman during Oaks Gourmet Market burger run

Jonathan Silverman Actor Jonathan Silverman of 'In Case of Emergency' speaks during the 2007 Winter Television Critics Association Press Tour for ABC at the Ritz-Carlton Huntington Hotel on January 14, 2007 in Pasadena, California. My friend Michael and I are the furthest thing from Harold and Kumar but we do get an occasional hankering for a burger.
Since there are no White Castle Burgers in Los Angeles, we instead decided tonight to try a place from the recent LA Weekly list of Best Burgers in LA: The Oaks Gourmet Market.
We sat down at the picnic tables inside this cozy market just off Beachwood Canyon and no, we didn’t run into Neil Patrick Harris like Harold and Kumar did in their movies, but we did quickly spot Jonathan Silverman of Weekend at Bernie’s and A Single Guy fame.
Then, standing in the cafe/bakery line: Colin Farrell. He was wearing a hat, a leather jacket and jeans. He looks stunning.
Didn’t pay much attention to the guy he was with until Michael – who is facing them from his seat – says: “I think he’s an actor too.”
I turn around to take a better look and realize the other guy is Sam Rockwell! But I can’t remember his name! As the two walk out, I say hello to Sam and just to confirm it’s him asked, “You were in Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, right?” He smiled and said yes.
I needed to make sure since I knew I’d be blogging, tweeting and Facebooking about our triple star sighting!
I’ve done a little research and see that Farrell and Rockwell are starring in the film Seven Psychopaths with Christopher Walken and Woody Harrelson, among others.
Other things I learned tonight: 1) Colin Farrell is even better looking in person than on the big screen. 2) The burgers at Oaks Gourmet Market are melt in your mouth good!

2 Remarks

  1. Nice report, thank you! I would have dropped the burger and eaten (or at least try to) the delicious Colin Farrell!

  2. Colin Farrell also has been a great straight ally and publicly supportive of his gay brother. He officiated at his brother’s wedding, IIRC.
