Soap Clips: Noah’s blindness keeps he and Luke estranged on “As the World Turns”

I have absolutely no patience for the idiotic character of Noah right now. Why Luke doesn’t just dump his blind butt I do not know. The writers of this show really should stop regurgitating scripts they’ve already used where we have Noah pushing Luke away etc. because it is BORING and irritating.

Noah to Luke: “You need to be there for your family 100 percent … I need to be blind without worrying about you. … You can’t handle just being a friend. I don’t need a lover right now, I need a friend. That’s all I can handle.”

Uh, ok. Guess no kisses between this pair and certainly not any hanky panky. I’ll bet if the straight characters went blind, they’d still be having sex.

Actors Jake Silbermann and Van Hansis are doing the best they can with this material but it must be a challenge. It’s the show’s last year for God’s sake, do something INTERESTING with your gay couple – you owe it to the fans and to the actors.

The bright spot in this annoying storyline is that it brought Dr. Reid Oliver to the show because actor Eric Sheffer Stevens is just a stitch! Today was his court hearing on charges that he stole Luke’s car etc. Luke leaves Noah – without a kiss – to go testify on the grumpy hottie’s behalf: “The truth is your honor, I can’t stand Dr. Reid Oliver. … But it’s also the truth that I forced him to come to Oakdale.”

Luke then lies to the judge and says he let Dr. Oliver borrow his car and that he did not steal it. That’s his way of paying the doc back for telling authorities that Luke’s adoptive dad could not have killed his bio-dad.

The judge dismisses the case and the doctor is free to return to Dallas. He wants to leave within days and wants Noah to go with him so he can treat and operate on him there. Luke, suddenly becoming three years old, throws a hissy and tells Noah: “I want you HERE.”

Grow up Luke. Grow up Noah. Grow up EVERYBODY!
