Snapped! Billy Bean back in uniform!
It’s been two decades since Billy Bean retired from Major League Baseball but he sure still looks great in a uniform!
Billy was appointed the MLB’s first “Ambassador for Inclusion” last summer.
In a career that lasted from 1987 through 1995, Billy played for the Detroit Tigers 1987-1989, the Los Angeles Dodgers in 1989 and for the San Diego Padres 1993–1995.
He came out publicly in 1999 and wrote the terrific book, Going the Other Way: Lessons from a Life in and out of Major League Baseball.
Thanks to my good buddy, Phillies GM Ruben Amaro, for the invitation to join his club yesterday in Clearwater. Philadelphia is showing great support and leadership of our Inclusive message throughout MLB.
