Showtune Sunday: When “The Rosie O’Donnell Show” was Broadway’s biggest booster
Back in the 1990s, Rosie O’Donnell probably did more to drive Broadway’s box office than anyone as she frequently had stars from the various musicals on her wildly popular daytime show. She even hosted the Tony Awards several times.
Here are a handful of performances from those years from the likes of Carol Burnett, John Barrowman, Cathy Rigby, Stephanie Mills, John Cameron Mitchell and Kristin Chenoweth.
