Showtune Sunday: When Angela Lansbury was “Dolly” and Carol Channing was “Mame” – on same stage!
Had not seen this before and I thought my head would explode.
Broadway legends Angela Lansbury and Carol Channing sharing a stage and singing each other’s signature songs? Plus chorus boys and a glorious finish together at the end?
It’s just heaven.
Miss Lansbury would have been such a terrific Dolly Levi don’t you think?

It was in 2002. I was the young man who helped Carol on the stairs. The cast on her arm was from a fall she took THE DAY BEFORE!
