Showtune Sunday: Liza Minnelli at her best!
Liza Minnelli has certainly had a life and career of ups and downs. She’s won an Oscar, three Tonys and an Emmy for her great successes in film, on stage, and on television.
But there have also been various health problems, battles with drugs and alcohol, and some ill-advised marriages – most notably to fourth husband David Gest.
Still, Liza is one of the great showbiz survivors and at 65, is still out there giving it her all.
I want to showcase Liza during one of her really solid periods. The year was 1991 and she was in terrific form singing Cabaret, New York, New York and Some People.
Enjoy!

Yogidad says:
It’s great that you can enjoy her there. I saw her long before 1991. A lot has been lost (and probable even destroyed) before that performance date.
Gaspar Marino says:
Again, I have followed her career since Flora The Red Menace. Always hoping she rises above the fray, unlike her Mom. Hope to see her on stage again soon.

Why she married that faded old queen is a mystery to me as well!
Bob says:
