Showtune Sunday: “Grease” is the one!

There really is no limit on the number of times you can watch Grease or listen to the soundtrack from the classic 1978 big screen musical.

It’s been more than 30 years since the movie starring a young and studly John Travolta and the lovely Olivia Newton John hit theaters and to this day, it still makes me so happy.

I know every musical number and love the solos like Travolta’s Sandy, Olivia’s Hopelessly Devoted to You, Stockard Channing’s There Are Worse Things I Could Do and Frankie Avalon’s Beauty School Dropout.

But the real magic happens in the group numbers and that is what is being featured today: Summer Lovers from the opening and the final two numbers: You’re the One that I Want and We Go Together.
