Showtune Sunday: All about Shirley Bassey!
Ever since the Oscars two weeks ago, I’ve been all about Shirley Bassey.
I’m late to the party, really had to idea how completely fabulous she is.
But now I do so today’s Showtune Sunday is all about Dame Bassey.

My grandfather was a pilot for an airline for 40 years and had the privilege of flying Ms Bassey a few times. She was always charming.

One of all time favorite singers. I saw her in concert 5 or 6 times and was never disappointed. She is magnetic and atrue DIVA! You must hear her recording of “This Is My Life”, which made her a gay idol, around the world, as well as “Goldfinger” and “Diamonds Are Foever”. I wish she would come to NY again for another concert.
