Sheryl Lee Ralph was the toast of Broadway 40 years ago as the Tony-nominated lead in Dreamgirls and now she’s riding another wave as the Emmy-winning co-star of ABC’s Abbott Elementary.

Her Emmy speech this week was one for the ages when she belted out the opening verse of Dianne Reeves’ 1994 song Endangered Species

I’ve put together some of her performances of Dreamgirls numbers over the years including a sweet reunion with original co-stars Jennifer Holliday and Loretta Devine.
