Showtune Sunday: All about “Grease”

Fox is scheduled to air its live remake of the musical Grease on January 31 with Julianne Hough as Sandy, Aaron Tveit as Danny, Vanessa Hudgens as Rizzo and Carly Rae Jepsen as Frenchy.

The production will, of course, be compared to the 1978 feature film version of the musical that we all remember so well and that we all love.

I never get sick of watching that movie but look forward to seeing how the Fox production fares.

Love musicals being done and am happy with this recent trend that has brought us live versions of The Wiz, The Sound of Music and Peter Pan on NBC. Fox also has The Rocky Horror Picture Show planned.
