Showtune Sunday: All about birthday boy Chris Colfer! The multi-talented “Glee” star turns 22 today!
They grow up so fast!
Today is the 22nd birthday of the oh-so talented Chris Colfer, the Emmy-nominated and Golden Globe-winning star of Glee.
His character of Kurt Hummel just graduated from high school on the show but did not make it into his first choice school, NYU.
But Kurt is so talented and resilient. He will no doubt hatch an interesting Plan B.
Chris isn’t just focusing on Glee. He also wrote and stars in Struck by Lightning, a dark, irreverent coming-of-age comedy that premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival.

Chris is Kurt and Kurt is Chris. I think I met a talented Kurt named Jim a few years ago in high school, only recently reconnected with him to realize not only did he discover but also invented plans B, C and D successfully. I am totally a Gleeker as well a fan of Jim.

Happy birthday to the wonderful Chris Colfer! I love Kurt so much. I loved his “I Have Nothing,” but my favorite performance of his has to be “As If We Never Said Goodbye” from the “Born This Way” ep.
One correction – the school he didn’t get into was NYADA, not NYU.
