Shia Lebouf on why he could not resist grabbing Alan Cumming’s rear-end during “Cabaret”

Shia LaBeouf had more than a few too many when he found himself attending a performance of the Broadway musical Cabaret last June.

He had been drinking whiskey all day and at one point during the performance, thought star Alan Cumming was winking at him.

The audience is seated at tables instead of traditional rows to simulate a nightclub and the cast moves among them.

So LaBeouf made his move when Cumming walked past.

‘All I’m thinking about are his leather pants and him winking at me, and he walks past me and I give him a slap on the ass cause I think he deserves it, and he’s seducing me, I mean he’s the sexiest man I’ve ever seen,’ LaBeouf told Jimmy Kimmel on Monday night.

‘And I just don’t slap and slap but I slapped and grabbed him. I grabbed the whole cheek cause I wanted the party right here in my pants. I wanted to grab the whole party.

‘He finds a way to wiggle out of my Hercules grip…we get to intermission and somebody says ‘there’s another party outside.’ And I see six cops having their own party. Anyways, they wanted to take me to the station.’

LaBeouf, who was also smoking during the show, was arrested and the incident made headlines.

I have always loved Shia and I pray his mental health is OK because something in my crawl tells me he might be too invested in his current role (homeless Vet). Shia might be joining many of his peers and working on being a method-actor, which is cool but can be mentally, physically and emotionally draining.
However, I have to admit, I was highly entertained and amused with this interview and his storytelling was pretty impressive, humorous and informative. Between Shia checking out Alan Cummings and Allen Iverson in leather pants, I was laughing my own butt off. Shia is still cute as a button and there was nothing but love in his voice and heart. I wish him nothing but success because if there is ever a cute kid, who is now a grown man, it would be him. Digging the beard and loving his care-free take on life, I just pray it’s nothing but a young guy, who might have had too much to drink and a bit jet-lagged.

  2. I concur 100%. He came off as genuine and sincere, not douchy at all. After watching that I again like the guy. I wish him all the best.

  3. I don’t like this guy at all. Never did. I never thought he was a very good actor and unlikeable at that. This interview, IMO, is Lebouf’s damage control over the entire incident at 54 and behaviours. However, I wish him well, I hope he’s getting the help he needs and if I never saw a motion picture with him in it again, it would be no loss for me.

  4. Loved the video. I find Shia fascinating to watch and a very attractive man. He’s not the usual bland model-type actor which makes him interesting and refreshing.

  5. This guy won the right to not be believed. And that is huge in a world of professional liars like the actor’s, so he really made an effort.
