Shane Bitney Crone remembers partner, Tom Bridegroom, on the third anniversary of his death

A message from lovely and courageous Shane Bitney Crone whose documentary, Bridegroom, won the GLAAD Media Award last month:

Today marks the third anniversary of the death of my partner, Tom Bridegroom. Although I miss him terribly, the time since he has died has been filled with incredible experiences that have inspired me to speak up for social change and LGBT equality. I want to celebrate his outgoing spirit and compassion for humanity by encouraging you all to watch the documentary Bridegroom Movie. You can honor Tom but also start a dialogue within your own school and community and amongst your family and friends. We can’t force people to support equality; we can only share our stories and hope that hearts and minds will open and love will prevail.

I also want to send lots of love to Tom’s family. Today is incredibly hard on them too and it’s important to keep them in our hearts and thoughts.
