Seven-time Grammy winner Prince has died at 57
Sad and stunning news. The enigmatic musician Prince Rogers Nelson – known around the world simply as Prince – has died at the age of 57.
TMZ reports that Prince’s body was discovered at his Paisley Park compound in Minnesota early this morning.
The seven-time Grammy singer had been thought to be battling the flu when his private jet was forced to make an emergency landing in Illinois last Friday and he was rushed to the hospital. But he showed up the next day at a dance party to show that he was alive and well and told the crowd: ‘Wait a few days before you waste any prayers.’
Over his 35-plus-year career, he released 39 solo studio albums including 1999, Purple Rain, Around The World In A Day, Sign O The Times and Batman.
