See what happens when Ellen DeGeneres and Carrie Fisher team up to “sell” some “Star Wars” tickets
This is really fun and God how I love Carrie Fisher.
Carrie and Ellen DeGeneres decided to raise money for charity by heading out to Barham Boulevard in Burbank and selling tickets to opening night of Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
To get in the spirit of the film, both donned ridiculous headbands that had Princess Leia’s signature hair buns attached.
‘Carrie Fisher in stupid hair, again!’ the actress yelled out to passing cars.
Fisher, who steps back into the role of Leia in the new film, was not recognized by one woman in a car until she said in her unmistakable husky voice: ‘I’m Princess Leia!’
While they ended up giving most of the tickets for around $100 a pair, one young guy offered to do a handstand as he hummed the Star Wars theme song.
He got his tickets.
As for which charity they will be donating the money to, it was never really clear. But Fisher did at one point joke she was collecting for ‘mental illness for animals.’
The comedic highlight comes at the end when Fisher attempts to take some selfies.
