Haven’t seen this yet but am excited about it.

The Thing About Harry is Freeform’s new romantic comedy premiering the day after Valentine’s Day. Why isn’t it airing on Hallmark for Lifetime? Because it’s a GAY romantic comedy. LGBT people don’t seem to exist on this channels.

So thank God for Freeform where such LGBTQ-themed shows as Good Trouble and The Fosters have thrived.

The movie follows former high school nemeses — straight-laced Sam (Jake Borelli) and flighty Harry (Nico Terho) — whose friendship slowly blossoms into romance after they are forced together for an hours-long car ride back to their Missouri hometown.

The movie was written and directed by Peter Paige, the Queer as Folk alum who co-created The Fosters and Good Trouble. He tells NBC News: “I spent so much time translating straight rom-coms for my own consumption that I wanted to make a movie that queer boys wouldn’t have to translate,” Paige said. “When I was in my 20s, I was in big cities dating and getting my heart broken. … The greatest heartbreak of my life was when two of my friends got together and I was in love with one of them.”
