See new singing sensation Steve Grand’s first live TV interview on CNN: “It’s nuts to be here”

Steve of All-American Boy fame did his first live interview on national TV a few days ago on CNN and at the end admitted: “It’s nuts to be here.”

In the interview, he isn’t so sure about the label of country singer because “I’ve never thought of myself as a country artist. … If it’s country to some people and not country to someone else, that’s fine by me.”

Of a lot of the attention being on his being gay: “I don’t have an issue with it … I’m about making music and making art and moving people. You can’t do that without being honest about who you are and what you want to say … it is an important part of who I am and that;s going to be a part of it just like a lot of other things are going to be a part of it. I didn’t set out to sell myself as a gay artist but I’m a songwriter who is gay.”

“I’m certainly not a star after one YouTube video,” he adds. “Hopefully this is just the very beginning of a career … I want to keep moving forward and I’m going to keep working really, really hard to make that happen.”
