See Scott Herman’s new PSA for Trevor Project
It’s such a tragedy every time a gay kid commits suicide because of taunting and bullying. Asher Brown, just 13, shot himself to death last Thursday after being relentlessly bullied at his Houston-area school. [Source: Towleroad]
I don’t know if Asher was gay – he was also taunted over his fashion sense and religion – but it’s a sad reminder of how fragile kids can be – and how cruel others can be.
That’s why it is so important to have an organization like The Trevor Project for teens to call for support. It’s a a national 24-hour, toll free confidential suicide hotline for gay and questioning youth.
MTV’s The Real World alum Scott Herman (pictured, left) has made the following Public Service Announcement talking all about The Trevor Project. Please share it with anyone you think could use it. And thank you Scott.
