See Rosie’s imitation of Barbra Streisand singing

We know that Rosie O’Donnell’s affection for Barbra Streisand runs so deep because the singer’s music had bonded her with the mother she lost to cancer when she was only 10.

Rosie channels the legendary singer in the documentary American Masters: The Boomer List airing tonight on PBS.

She sings a bit of Marty the Martian and Second Hand Rose as she talks about her mother’s love of Streisand’s records.

‘The record my mother loved the most was A Happening in Central Park,’ Rosie says. ‘She loved I could sort of do the accent. I always kinda talked like that, like Barbra Streisand did. Oh, my god. Can you believe it?’

In 1997, Rosie could not hold back the flood of tears when Streisand appeared on her daytime talk show which ran for six years. She was far more composed during their recent interview on The View.
