See ‘Prison Break’ trailer starring Wentworth Miller

Wentworth Miller is back as Michael Scofield in Prison Break.

Fans at Comic-Con in San Diego got a look at a trailer for the reboot of the Fox series over the weekend featuring the out actor and his costar Dominic Purcell as his brother Lincoln Burrows.

The original series ran from 2005-09 and was about an innocent man (Purcell) sent to death row due to a political conspiracy.

His only hope was his brother (Miller) who deliberately got himself sent to the same prison in order to break the both of them out.

The nine-episode sequel will air early next year and takes place several years later.

This time it is Schofield who is being held captive in a Middle Eastern prison.

His family had believed he was dead but after they find evidence he is alive, Burrows joins forces with his brother’s wife Sara (Sarah Wayne Callies) to rescue him.

Scofield is plotting his escape with a fellow prisoner who faces death because he is homosexual.

Miller acknowledged publicly that he is gay in 2013 in a letter declining an invitation to appear at a film festival in Russia because of that country’s anti-gay laws.

‘I feel more fully expressed,’ he told Details of his post-coming out period. ‘After Prison Break, I came to grips with the fact that my public persona was in misalignment with how I actually felt.’
