See my pal Frank Groff on HGTV’s “House Hunters”

Oh, this is great!

You have to know that when I started to come out in a public way in the late 1990s, I was covering the restaurant industry for the LA Times and arranged to have breakfast with a PR dude who had a lot of restaurants as clients.

The guy was Frank Groff and he was a force of nature of which I had never met before – or since!

Frank was king of the Long Beach Belmont Shore gay social scene where we both lived and he took me under his wing and I soon knew everyone in town and was going to all these great dinners, events and trips.

So Frank will always have a very special place in my gay little heart and he has swooped in and is helping me arrange next month’s 5th anniversary party for Greg In Hollywood.

Anyway, I think if you watch this episode of HGTV’s House Hunters featuring Frank and his partner David Krause you will get a sense of how dazzling this man is and how he made being out so much fun.

The show is about Frank and David choosing a Hawaiian getaway then renovating it to reflect their sense of style.
