Gerard Butler’s provocative “quote” about sexuality [Updated]
In the recent film Rocknrolla, Gerard Butler’s character sweetly deals with the advances of his gay best friend. He won’t sleep with the guy but he does slow dance with him.
Updated: I’m not sure what the hunky star of 300, P.S. I Love You and The Ugly Truth would have done in real life but there is an old quote reported to be his posted on Queerty.com, that if it is authentic, it would certainly leave me wondering!

That’s very interesting. He comes across so masculine, everyone just assumes that he’s straight. Of course, playing the lead in 300 didn’t hurt that perception. It’s really cool that he doesn’t have a hang-up about his own sexuality.

OMG! Check your facts! This made up blurb is over 5 years old and Gerry’s Publicist and Manager said he never said it. I believe Gerry himself made refernce back in the day that this was a bogus statement.
Gerard Butler is not bi-sexual! He is straight!

actually, “Jo Jo”, at the risk of offending you, “Gerry” – Mr. Butler to the rest of us – has gone on record in other arenas as being somewhat less “gender-defined” regarding his past sexual experiences…
but at the end of the day, unless you are planning to sleep with him, does it really matter?

Some sites dispute it, some say it’s real, but regardless he’s been reported as being “gay friendly”, meaning that while he can tell raunchy gay jokes, he is not homophobic. Regarding bisexuality – the supposed theory is that or every gay and straight person in America, there are two that could technically fall into the label of “bisexual” whether they admit it or not.
But the fact is, most of the gay men who are posting he’s gay will never, ever, have the chance to sleep with him, and most of the women who defend him as straight will also never, ever, be among his picks for a bed partner, either. So it doesn’t matter which one he likes, because most likely he wouldn’t pick any of those who are bothering to argue about it anyway. 😛
