What a weekend for celebrity weddings!
And the fact that the two big weddings were of same-sex couples. I cringed a bit this morning when I heard one TV newscaster remark that Elton John and David Furnish had been ‘dating for 20 years’ before tying the knot.
Dating? They have been civil partners for nine years and are the parents of two children!
Anyway, congrats to Elton and David and to these two handsome guys: Lance Bass and Michael Turchin.

Yeah, I don’t consider the thirty years me and my spouse had together before getting married as dating. We got married so late because it just recently became legal for us same-sex couples in California. May same-sex marriage become law in all fifty states.
Congrats to both couples. It was nice to see these weddings featured in the mainstream media.

As of today, with Florida, and no thanks to Scalia and Thomas (Thomas, the worst, most unqualified person to ever serve on the Supreme Court) we are no up to (depending on Kansas) to 35 or 36 states.
