See Daniel Radcliffe as gay poet Allen Ginsberg on the New York City set of “Kill Your Darlings”

I know Harry Potter was one of the most successful film franchises in history but I’m quite confident it was only the beginning of what will be a very long, successful and interesting career for its star Daniel Radcliffe.

He’s already proven himself to be a smash on Broadway in musicals (How to Succeed in Business) and plays (Equus).

Post-Potter, staunch LGBT ally Radcliffe is currently shooting Kill Your Darlings in New York City.

He plays Allen Ginsberg, one of the great poets of the beat generation and a gay activist. He is pictured here in character with co-star Dane DeHaan who portrays Lucien Carr. The film follows Ginsberg’s relationship with Carr and Jack Kerouac. Carr is the one who introduces Ginsberg to Kerouac and fellow Beat poet William S. Burroughs.
