See Cynthia Erivo in “Jesus Christ Superstar”

Happy Monday everyone. I’m going to do some posts tonight when I’m home from my day job. But I wanted to quickly post these videos from an astonishing show I saw last night. I joined a group of friends for the final night of the Hollywood Bowl’s three-night, sold out concert of Jesus Christ Superstar starring Cynthia Erivo as Jesus and Adam Lambert as Judas. The cast also featured Milo Manheim as Peter, Raúl Esparza as Pontius Pilate, Phillipa Soo as Mary Magdalene, Zachary James as Caiaphas, Tyrone Huntley as Simon, and Brian Crum as Annas. Josh Gad and John Stamos both played the role of King Herod with Stamos playing the role August 1 (while Gad recovered from COVID-19) while Gad played it August 2. Gad also played Herod August 3.
