See Chris Colfer’s chat with Conan O’Brien about his voice, his teenage female fans, and Betty White
This is such an enjoyable interview.
Glee star Chris Colfer stopped by Conan O’Brien’s show this week and talked about how people constantly ask if his high-pitch voice is really how he talks. He sets the record straight that he does not suck helium before he talks!
Chris has a profound effect on many of his young female fans who have very profound reactions to him.
“There’s nothing more terrifying than a teenage girl,” Chris tells Conan. “They have so many feelings, so many emotions at once. … There are so many girls who say, ‘Every time I look at your face, I cry.’ I don’t know why they cry. I think it’s something they probably should discuss with someone. It’s flattering I guess.”
At around the two-minute mark of the video, Chris talks about how he took his grandmother with him to the Emmy where he was a nominee for outstanding supporting actor in a comedy. They were seated next to Betty White and Chris does a priceless imitation of the “grandma sound” he said Miss White made when his grandmother introduced herself as Chris Colfer’s grandma.
Enjoy!
