I worked at a law firm in the old Conde Nast building on the corner of Broadway and 42nd Street and once met this incredible fashion icon. He was opinionated, snooty, terribly witty, charming and sweet all in a matter of a few minutes. It was bam!, bam!, bam! of bon mots while towering over me (and I’m tall), a bright red overcoat draped over his shoulders. RIP Mr. Talley.
