See a preview of “The McCarthys,” the new CBS sitcom about close-knit family with gay son
Glad to see a new sitcom with a lead character who is gay/
It’s called The McCarthys and it premieres on CBS this fall.
Here’s the premise and cast: When the gay son of a sports-crazed Boston clan decides to fly the coop, his loving family has other plans.
Tyler Ritter, Laurie Metcalf, Jack McGee and Joey McIntyre star.
The show was created by a real Bostonian, Brian Gallivan (Happy Endings), and is loosely based on his life.

Paul says:
This looks completely laugh free.
Daniel Lewis Frommherz says:
This is one freaky show that I might have to watch the only difference that I see at this point is that mine are Catholic, supported Prop 8 with donations to the church and the Knights of Columbus and golly dang am I glad that I moved away.
Gaspar Marino says:
I agree with Paul
Ron Minor says:
I just don’t know about this one…seems too forced… is the guy gay in real life… I am so tired of straight guys pretending to be gay for the part and then going on social media talking about how totally uncomfortable they are playing gay…..
