Season 3 of “Hot in Cleveland” begins production; Sean Hayes, Sandra Bernhard will be among the guest stars
Hot in Cleveland has been a real guilty pleasure for me and plenty of other folks ever since it premiered on TV Land in 2010.
The TV Land sitcom is a solid hit that has given 89-year-old Betty White yet another show – and another Emmy!
It also stars three other sitcom vets who know how to deliver the laughs: Wendi Malick, Valerie Bertinelli and Jane Leeves.
Production on the show’s third season began this week with new episodes set to premiere on Nov.30.
TV Land has announced an impressive roster of guest stars for the upcoming episodes: Kathie Lee Gifford (“Today With Kathie Lee & Hoda”), Sandra Bernhard (“Roseanne”), Laura San Giacomo“Just Shoot Me”), Gilles Marini (“Sex and the City”) and many more. Sean Hayes (“Will & Grace”), who serves as executive producer of the show, will also guest star.
Hot in Cleveland will also see the return of some familiar faces in returning guest stars such as Don Rickles (“Toy Story”) as Elka’s (White) husband, Bobby, who was long thought to be dead; Jennifer Love Hewitt (“Ghost Whisperer”) as Victoria’s (Malick) daughter, Emmy; Joe Jonas (“JONAS”) as Melanie’s (Bertinelli) son, Will; Huey Lewis as Victoria’s aging rockstar booty call, Johnny; John Mahoney (“Frasier”), playing a waiter who gets a little too involved in his customers personal lives; and Susan Lucci (“All My Children”), reprising her role as a fictional and more evil version of herself.
Also: Just in time for the third season debut on the TV Land channel, Paramount Home Entertainment will release Hot in Cleveland – Season 2 on November 29th. The 3-DVD set running 484 minutes includes all 22 episodes (with the “Too Hot For TV” blooper special being counted among those episodes, and found on the discs). Plus you’ll get Hot extras that includes cast interviews “and much more!”

Delighted to learn that Sean Hayes will make a guest appearance. Never cared for Sean in “Will & Grace,” but after seeing him in “Promises Promises” I think I’ve become his biggest fan. Do wish that Sean would make more appearances and a return to Broadway would be super.

If ANYONE should guest star on Hot in Cleveland, it should be Drew Carey. He should play the city’s mayor.

I really hope Sean Hayes gets Kristin Chenoweth to guest star on “Hot in Cleveland”! I love her and I think she would be great! 🙂

I agree with Ellen, Drew Carey SHOULD be a guest on the show, but I think he should be like the blind date from hell for one of the ladies. There should also be a brief cameo somewhere in the episode for Kathy Kinney.
