So, being abroad, I heard about this guy Oz because it is very amply mentioned on any remotely scientifically or rationally based site as an incredibly damaging person because of his pseudoscientific stances, misinforming and uneducating people on so many serious issues related to health and (academic) medicine. Also because he EVEN had an episode of his show where he kind of advocated and gave an opportunity to “reparative medicine” to turn a gay persons straight, only noting that, well, it could be problematic if the person entered the therapy with guilt and self hate (and he was criticized and repudiated by scientific AND gay organizations alike). Some people should know better: pseudoscience and superstition have made a major damage to us LGBT’s people (justifying with pseudoscientific chatter how abnormal we are, just old religious homophobia with a more secular disguise).
