Screen Actors Guild Awards: The cast of “Glee” wins for outstanding comedy ensemble!

photoHooray!!!
The cast of Glee continued its awards show honeymoon by winning the Screen Actors Guild Award prize for outstanding comedy series ensemble on Saturday evening.
The show’s cast includes standouts Jane Lynch (pictured holding the SAG trophy), Matthew Morrison, Lea Michelle and Chris Colfer.

“To be chosen by our peers means the world to us,”  Lynch said when accepting the ensemble cast award at the 16th annual SAG Awards ceremony at the Shrine Auditorium.

The show won outstanding comedy series just six days ago at the Golden Globe Awards.
Backstage, Morrison kissed his actor statuette and said: “I’ve never kissed a guy before, but there it is.”
A few weeks ago, he publicly came out as straight when a magazine writer asked him point-blank if he was gay.
But Lynch is openly gay as is Colfer so the LGBT community was well-respresented by Glee’s win.

One Remark

  1. “Glee” certainly deserved its Golden Globe Award and “Glee” certainly deserved its Screen Actors Guild Award.

I love Matthew Morrison – on Broadway and in the TV series – as for his sexuality, wasn’t anybody watching last Sunday when, on stage with the rest of the cast, he obviously wanted to plant a kiss on the mouth of the good-looking guy who was standing to his left, but, at the last second, went for the guy’s cheek instead.

But, if Morrison chooses to be “straight”, then, that’s alright with me.

    He is a major talent!
