Saturday Morning Man: Justin Bartha!
I still remember meeting actor Justin Bartha more than four years ago at the premiere of National Treasure. (The bottom photo is of us on that night)
I told him I thought he was going to be a really big star because he was so funny in the movie. He reprised his role as Nicholas Cage’s cohort in the sequel two years ago.
Yesterday, the busy Justin’s newest film The Hangover opened and he also has three other movies wrapped.
The 30-year-old actor’s other credits include Trust the Man, Failure to Launch and the still-to-be released The Rebound opposite Catherine Zeta-Jones. One of Justin’s first movies was Gigli where he shared most of his scenes with Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez. I was also at that premiere and remember seeing Justin get out of the limo and wave the the crowd acress the street. You could tell it was the first time he’d ever done it and it was a joy to watch.
What I also remember about Gigli was enjoying it just fine and amazed that me and my date were somehow seated with the cast (Except Affleck and Lopez who sat in the back). It wasn’t until a few weeks later that I learned this was supposedly a worst movie of all time.
I’m not saying it was a great film, but I have seen far, far worse movies that have been much less maligned.
