Saturday Morning Man: Danny Sullivan!

Were you expecting the former race car driver?
Well, if you do a Google search, you will see that the most well-known Danny Sullivan on the Internet is the editor-in-chief of Search Engine Land, a news site that covers news and information about search engines and search marketing.
Danny also happens to be one of my closest friends and today is his birthday! He turns 44 today!
Where does the time go? We were roommates for a few years in the early 90s when we both worked for the Los Angeles Times and Danny would figure out how much everyone owed for the monthly bills using this pie chart thing on the computer. I remember thinking: “How does he understand all that stuff?”
Little did I know Danny would go on to become this expert who has appeared on Nightline, NPR and been quoted countless times in The New York Times, USA Today and, his former paper, the LA Times.
When I got laid off from the LA Daily News with virtually no notice earlier this year, it was Danny and his wife Lorna who let me stay art their house in Newport Beach and really took great care to help me launch Greg In Hollywood in only seven days .
So here is Danny doing some of what he loves to do when he’s not in front of a computer or flying to a conference or meeting somewhere in the world.
Happy Birthday pal!
