Saturday Flashback: When Kristy McNichol won her second supporting actress Emmy for “Family”
Kristy McNichol retired from acting a few decades ago but she certainly had a red-hot career in the 70s and 80s. This video is from when she won her second consecutive Emmy for supporting actress in a drama series for ABC’s Family. She later co-starred in the NBC comedy Empty Nest and did a series of well-received feature films including Little Darlings, Only When I Laugh and The End. She came out publicly as a lesbian several years ago but has remained intensely private.
