Sandra Bullock: “Meryl is a good kisser”

No, Sandra Bullock and Meryl Streep aren’t switching teams – not even for a movie role. So why was Miss Bullock, this year’s biggest female box office star talking about locking lips with Miss Streep, the year’s second-biggest female box office star?

Because Sandra surprised everyone Friday night at the 15th annual Critics’ Choice Awards Friday night when she tied Meryl for the best actress prize. Streep was first announced as winner for her performance in Julie & Julia, accepted her award from presenter Bradley Cooper and gave a speech. Then Bradley announced Bullock’s name as co-winner for The Blind Side. As she made her way up to the podium, she planted a big one on Miss Streep and at the end of her speech quipped: “Meryl is a good kisser.”

Both actresses are double nominees at Sunday’s Golden Globe Awards. Bullock is nominated for best actress in a motion picture – drama for The Blind Side and best actress in a motion picture – musical or comedy for The Proposal. Streep is nominated twice in the latter category for Julie & Julia and It’s Complicated.
