Sandra Bernhard says Caitlyn Jenner ‘doesn’t understand that much about being a woman’
Caitlyn Jenner may have been the toast of the GLAAD Media Awards over the weekend but Sandra Bernhard is not one of her admirers.
The outspoken comic says of the Olympic legend turned reality TV star: ‘I think she was a right-wing, Republican man who was sexist and didn’t have too much insight into women.’
Jenner was honored by GLAAD for her coming out interview with Diane Sawyer.
It was during that April 2015 interview that she surprised many by reiterating that she is a Republican and wasn’t planning to change despite the party’s increasingly anti-LGBT positions.
Jenner, 66, has alienated some of her earlier supporters by remaining steadfastly conservative on her show I Am Cait during a time that many Republicans are supporting anti-trans legislation.
‘I think she’s someone who is transitioning into a woman, but still doesn’t understand that much about being a woman – or has that much respect for women,’ Bernhard tells Frontiers Magazine.
‘I find it very confounding.’
On one of this season’s episodes of her reality show, Jenner is seen slamming Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton. Jenner called Clinton a ‘political hack,’ a ‘fucking liar’ and claimed she doesn’t care about women.
In contrast, Jenner defended Republican candidate Donald Trump who has been known to make disparaging and deeply insulting comments about such women as Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly and actress Rosie O’Donnell.
‘I think he’d be very good for women’s issues,’ Jenner said. ‘I don’t think he’s out there to destroy women or do any of that kinda stuff.’

Can’t argue with Sandra Bernhard on that one. But unfortunately, there are cisgender woman out there who have the same mentality and political ideology as Caitlyn Jenner.

Not a huge fan of Cait, however, Sandra is hardly a roll model for women. She should have VULGAR tattooed across her forehead.
