Ryan Seacrest to be Kelly Ripa’s co-host. Thoughts?
Truth be told I only watch if there’s a guest I like or if the co-host is Anderson Cooper, Andy Cohen or Neil Patrick Harris. But those three are plenty busy and the job goes to a just as busy Ryan Seacrest. Guess Ryan has a rare hole on his dance card with the end of American Idol. He’s just fine, a safe and solid choice for ABC but not a very interesting one. I’d rather see Kelly remain the only headliner with a series of guest co-hosts. What do you all think?

I watch her everyday, but it’s in the background while I’m doing other stuff. I’m neutral about who co-hosts wit her.

He’s horribly overexposed and, frankly, I’m sick of him. Glad that Idol is over. Between his morning radio, AT40, E! News Daily (is he still on that?), producing “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” and now this, I’m just tired of hearing his name. Don’t forget New Year’s Eve! Epic fail.

I was hoping that she would pick Nick Lachey. But Seacrest is a bore. He has no personality,he is a horrible interviewer and she will regret that many people who like her won’t like him and will stay away. and I think he is a liar about himself and his place in the industry.

I was very surprised that they picked Ryan Seacrest. He’s someone who would make me avoid watching the show. It probably could have been anyone else and I would have watched if there was a guest on I liked. I don’t watch the show on a regular basis at all. It’s only if there’s someone I really, really want to watch. I find Ryan incredibly boring and wooden. If a host I really liked like Anby Cohen I would have recorded it and watched it at night.

Ryan Seacrest is rich younger than her and will attract a wide demographic. Maybe Anderson and Andy can pull him out of the closet!
