Russell Tovey’s character on ‘Quantico’ is just as likely to seduce your husband as he is to pick his pocket
Russell Tovey has joined the cast of the ABC’s Quantico in a sexy new role as the FBI thriller enters its second season this fall.
Although his Quantico alter-ego Harry Doyle is appears to be gay like Looking’s Kevin Matheson, they are clearly very different kinds of men.
Quantico showrunner Josh Safran tells The Hollywood Reporter that the role was created specifically for Tovey as was his role on Looking.
The mysterious Doyle is a mischievous gadabout who is part Thomas Crown, part grown-up Artful Dodger.
He is just as likely to seduce your husband as he is to pick his pocket when it’s over and can be anything to anybody.
‘Ever since being introduced to him in The History Boys 10 years ago, I’ve hoped to work with Russell,’ Safran says.
‘It’s been an honor for the writers and myself to be able to create this role specifically for him.’
Quantico explores the lives of young FBI recruits who have come to the Quantico base in Virginia for 21 weeks of training to become special agents.
The recruits are considered the best and the brightest but each one possesses secrets.
