Russell Tovey takes off shirt, man faints
You know, I find this completely understandable!
The sight of Russell Tovey’s buff body appears to have been too much for at least one audience member who took in the actor’s Broadway play the other night.
During the Saturday evening performance of A View From the Bridge at the Lyceum Theatre, a male audience member fainted at Tovey’s character took off his shirt.
Making things more dramatic was that the fainting man was in the seating section on the stage which has minimal props.
The performance had to be stopped until the man could be attended to.
The New York Post’s Page Six column reports that Tovey was onstage with co-stars Mark Strong and Phoebe Fox when the incident occurred and that a call went out for a doctor. The man was taken to a hospital by emergency medical technicians.
In the play, the British actor Tovey uses an American accent to play the role of an illegal Italian immigrant who comes to America.

Tovey is nice to look at, but I’d like to see Mark Strong shirtless as well.
