Russell Tovey apologizes “on behalf of my arms and nipples” to man who fainted upon seeing him shirtless

A guy named Davin Cutchall sure has a great story to tell at cocktail parties for the rest of his life.

He’s the guy who last week fainted when Russell Tovey took his shirt off during a scene in the Broadway play A View From the Bridge.

Tovey is now apologizing to Cutchall in tongue in cheek fashion.

‘On behalf of my arms and nipples, I feel the need to publicly apologize for the effects felt by one of our audience members on a dark winter night in New York City,’ he tells Heat World.

Cutchall was in the seating section that is actually on the stage at the Lyceum Theatre so he had a close-up view last week when the buff actor went shirtless.

The performance had to be stopped until Cutchall could be attended to.

The felled audience member later tweeted to Tovey from the hospital: ‘Sorry for disrupting the show tonight. I’m feeling better, now. You were great!’

Tovey was onstage with co-stars Mark Strong and Phoebe Fox when the incident occurred and that a call went out for a doctor. Cutchall was taken to a hospital by emergency medical technicians.

In the play, the British actor Tovey uses an American accent to play the role of an illegal Italian immigrant who comes to America.

3 Remarks

  1. Dear Russell Tovey, you’re forgiven. WOOF!

  2. I love me some Russell Tovey. I wish…
    You know the rest.

  3. Actually, it’s his ears that first attracted me to him. And still make me weak in the knees.
