Rosie talks to Suzanne Somers about when she got fired from “Three’s Company” in salary dispute
Whenever I catch a late-night rerun of Three’s Company on TV Land, I’m always so glad to see Jack, Chrissy and Janet doing their memorable brand of slapstick comedy.
Now that was a memorable trio.
Sadly, we only got four full seasons of them because by the fifth, Chrissy had been sent to visit her mother and appeared via phone call – Suzanne Somers’ punishment for demanding to be paid more money.
The show continued for three more years and was okay, but it never had the same magic.
Somers couldn’t get a TV job for several years but ended up back on ABC for a seven year run in the sitcom Step By Step.
She talks with Rosie O’Donnell about the firing and about how Johnny Carson helped her get her start in showbiz.
