Rosie reveals that Kelli moved out two years ago

Rosie O’Donnell said last month that she wasn’t going to be commenting about her relationship with Kelli Carpenter who she would often casually refer to as her wife during her year on The View.

But the high-profile relationship, which included getting married in 2004 in San Francisco (pictured above), had hit a rough patch and they are living apart. In an Oct. 20 interview with USA Today, Rosie said: “Kelli and I love each other very much, and we are working on our issues. Those are the only words I am ever going to say. Ever.”

On her Sirius Satellite radio show Friday,  Rosie suddenly admitted that Kelli had moved out of their home two years ago. The information came out when Rosie was talking on air to pet psychic Sonya Fitzpatrick about her long-haired chihuahua named Misty.

When asked who “sometimes looks after her,” Rosie explained her four children all fight over caring for the pup, which she got three days after Carpenter left. “What happened [was] when Kelli moved out two years ago, I got the dog. Because I wanted another child or something to love. And I got the dog.”
