Rosie O’Donnell weighs in on Indiana flap: Not even lesbians would cater their wedding with pizza

Rosie O’Donnell leaving The View has certainly helped the show lose a lot of its buzz.

Rosie’s candor and humor are missed!

But she’s still around and a few days ago participated in a town hall-style conversation with gay rights activist Michelangelo Signorile.

Rosie pointed out the irony of an Indiana pizzeria becoming the epicenter of that state’s ‘religious freedom’ law debate.

‘Gays were going to cater their wedding with pizza? Not even lesbians would do that,’ she said.

‘We might have a potluck, we have bring your own chili,’ Rosie added. ‘But only if financial situations are tough.’

The owners of Memories Pizza said publicly that while they would not turn away gay customers in their restaurant, they would refuse to deliver pizzas to a same-sex wedding due to their religious beliefs.

Backlash and online threats have forced the owners to temporarily close their doors but as of Friday, they had received more than $800,000 in donations from supporters.
