Rosie O’Donnell on tensions with her co-hosts on The View: “We are all figuring it out – fear not”

There’s no Elisabeth Hasselbeck this time around but Rosie O’Donnell’s second time around as co-host of The View has not exactly been smooth sailing.

But Rosie says things are not as bad as some reports would have you believe.

Sure, the show’s Hot Topics segments have led to heated on air exchanges about race and other topics with O’Donnell clashing with moderator Whoopi Goldberg on more than one occasion.

‘It’s an interesting dynamic – I am finding my way through it,’ O’Donnell wrote this week to a reader of her Rosie.com blog.

The reader had observed that on the show, O’Donnell looks ‘just like how I felt as a little girl at school or at a birthday party; just out of place and sad that the others in the room were snubbing me.’

In addition to Goldberg and O’Donnell, others on the panel are actress Rosie O’Donnell and Nicolle Wallace who was communications chief for former President George W. Bush.

When another reader expressed concern about ‘animosity’ between the co-hosts, O’Donnell replied that it is all being overblown.

‘The press makes it more then it is,’ she wrote. ‘We are all figuring it out – fear not.’
