Rosie O’Donnell and Michelle Rounds are the parents of a newborn daughter named Dakota!

After a 2012 that had them both dealing with serious health issues, Rosie O’Donnell and wife Michelle Rounds have started 2013 with some good news: a newborn baby.

The couple announced via Twitter that they are parents: ‘we r thrilled to announce the arrival of r daughter Dakota – #withloveandthanks – AMEN.’

Dakota was born last Saturday weighing in at 5 pounds, 5 ounces. Rosie’s spokesperson says ‘Moms and baby are happy and healthy.’

While it is the first baby for Rounds, 41, Rosie is already mother to four older children: Parker, 17, Chelsea, 15, Blake, 13, and Vivienne, 10. The other mother of the older children are O’Donnell’s ex, Kelli Carpenter.

Rosie and  Michelle were married last June while Rounds was diagnosed with desmoids tumors, a rare condition that requires multiple surgeries. Then in August, Rosie suffered a heart attack.
