Roger Federer wins three ATP awards

You’d think that after slipping to number 7 in the world rankings and only winning one tournament this season that Greg In Hollywood fave Roger Federer would go home empty-handed at today’s ATP Awards handed out in London.
But the winner of a record 17 grand slam singles titles took home more awards than any other player: He won the Stefan Edberg Sportsmanship Award for the ninth time in a vote of his peers; the Fans’ Favorite award for the 11th consecutive year; and the Arthur Ashe Humanitarian Award (which he also received in 2006) for his foundation’s charitable work with children in Africa and Switzerland.
Federer, 32, has struggled mightily this year failing to reach the final of a grand slam tournament for the first time since 2002 and suffering many shock losses to lower-ranked players.
But in recent weeks, he seems to have regained his form and confidence beating fifth-ranked Juan Martin del Potro in Paris last week before losing in the finals to a red-hot Novak Djokovic.
