Roger Federer is number one for 300th week!
I just love when my favorite male tennis player of all time reaches unbelievable milestones.
And when it comes to Roger Federer, they are milestones that may never be matched.
Next week, he will be ranked number one in the world for the 300th week.
”It’s obviously an amazing number and I never thought of anything like this when I was a little kid,” Federer said after winning a match today at the Shanghai Masters. ”I just thought one day my dream would come true to play on the tour. So here I am at 300 weeks, and it’s probably one of my biggest accomplishments and something I’m very proud of. No doubt about it.”
Federer has been number one for more weeks than any other male player in history. In second place is Peter Sampras (286 weeks) followed by Ivan Lendl (270 weeks) and Jimmy Connors (268 weeks).
